Christopher Busby

As a founding partner, Chris has been with CFG Wealth Management since the firm's inception in 2005. In his role as Chief Investment Strategist, Chris oversees the firm's investment research and securities trading operations. He is also responsible for developing CFG's overall investment strategy and asset allocation models. Chris enjoys educating CFG clients about investment risk and how their own risk tolerance should be factored into a long-term investment strategy.

Previously, Chris worked as a financial advisor at MONY for 11 years, with a special focus on advising business owners. He earned a B.A. in International Studies, with a minor in Economics, from Portland State University.

Like other CFG Wealth Management associates, Chris is actively involved in the local community. He serves as Board Chair for the Meridian Park Medical Foundation, a nonprofit community hospital in Portland, and serves on the Foundation's Investment Committee. He is also an active supporter of the Legacy Children's Hospital and the Healing Garden at Meridian Park Medical Center. His passion for healthcare issues was motivated in part by his experience as a volunteer in Uganda, where he helped establish a mobile hospital that provided much-needed medical care to several thousand people.

During his free time, Chris and his wife enjoy watching their two sons play soccer, baseball, and basketball. He also enjoys hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest and fly-fishing, as well as backpacking vacations in central Oregon and the Disney parks.
