2025 Thanksgiving Basket Assembly at Union Gospel Mission

CFG Wealth Management, clients, friends, and family joined with Union Gospel Mission of Portland at Angela's House to fill and pack over 300 Thanksgiving boxes to be delivered to families in need in our community. The boxes, made from aluminum roasting pans, were filled with stuffing, canned fruits and vegetables, cornbread, mashed potatoes, gravy, coffee, dessert, and a voucher for a free ham or turkey redeemable at any local grocery store. Between three shifts of community volunteers, UGM was able to fill over 900 Thanksgiving boxes.
Union Gospel Mission provides more than 200,000 meals a year to those experiencing homelessness and to people in need. In addition to meals, the Mission provides food boxes, clothing, hygiene items, showers, referral services and cold weather shelter.
In the summer of 2025, UGM opened Angela's House, a facility to provide recovery and transitional housing for women and children escaping homelessness, hunger, addiction and abuse. This new home is 53,000 square feet, has 52 resident rooms, and will provide a home for up to 80 women and children at a time. Angela’s House will be home to the LifeChange program providing wholistic healing through classes and group studies that nurture spiritual, emotional, and physical health. Each woman’s journey is personalized, supporting lasting change through faith, care, and community.

Golfers for EBA 2024

The 3rd annual Golfers Fore EBA fundraising event was a huge success! Many thanks to the golfers and auction participants who helped Every Body Athletics raise $126,000!

Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store

The CFG team had the privilege of volunteering at the Union Gospel Mission’s Tigard Thrift Store in May. Our team pulled old or damaged donation items from shelves for recycling and sorted through new donation items and placed new clothing on hangers and racks to be rolled into the store for sale.
The revenue generated by the thrift store supports all of UGM’s ministries including the Women and Children’s LifeChange and Men’s LifeChange programs which aids those struggling with addiction, homelessness, and abuse. The thrift store is the work therapy location for the men of the LifeChange recovery community. At the store, men fill the roles of cashier, dockworker, clothing sorter and other positions. Each resident learns valuable work and life skills. For more information about UGM’s programs visit their website ugmportland.org.
If you love thrifting or have items in good condition that you’d like to donate, you can shop or donate to the UGM Thrift Store at 11611 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard. To inquire about having large donation items picked up by one of their drivers call 503-639-6488.
2023 Raphael House Giving Tree

Thank you to everyone who donated to Raphael House through either our virtual giving tree or the giving tree in our lobby. As a result of your generosity and others in the community, Raphael House was able to spread holiday cheer to over 195 families, including 314 children and teens – far more families than they anticipated being able to help this year.
Each family "shopped" for brand new toys, a small kitchen appliance, and took home a gift card to use on what they need most. For survivors of domestic violence, the ability to make decisions has been taken away in the past by abusers. This year, families had the opportunity to choose what's best for themselves through the Raphael House holiday "store." The healing power of this service has a lasting impact for those who have been forced to leave behind everything to escape violence.
For more than 45 years Raphael House of Portland has helped domestic violence survivors and their families find safety, hope, and independence. For more information or to find ways you can help visit raphaelhouse.com.
